Last summer a customer approached me to lime wash the exterior of her brick home. She had been looking for someone in New Jersey to do this project for her for 2 years! We were thrilled to work on a lime washing project not only because we enjoy it, but because it meant that we would be able to work in the beautiful weather for a week outdoors!
The project starts with us hosing down the brick and then we apply the lime wash using various tools. We had to push the gravel and plants away from the brick also so that we could lime wash below the soil line. It took a good solid week to complete her one story home and also the chimney. It didn't rain until the final day when we were cleaning up. We were so lucky! And the results were fabulous! It started out with solid red brick but it ended up looking like an Old English Country Home!!
